We’ve imagined how Terry Gilliam’s Brazil might have been promoted in Communist Russia, and created a Retro poster based on the look and feel of 1950’s Vintage Soviet Propaganda posters

Brazil

“Brazil,” directed by Terry Gilliam, is a dystopian science fiction film set in a retro-futuristic society governed by a totalitarian regime. The story follows Sam Lowry, a low-level government employee who becomes embroiled in a Kafkaesque nightmare after a bureaucratic error leads to the wrongful arrest and subsequent death of an innocent man. As Sam navigates through a surreal and bureaucratic labyrinth, he becomes entangled with rebels fighting against the oppressive regime and falls in love with a woman who appears in his dreams. “Brazil” is a satirical and visually stunning film that critiques modern society’s obsession with technology, bureaucracy, and conformity while exploring themes of individuality, freedom, and the human spirit’s resilience in the face of tyranny.
